Description

Shop our range of timber arris rails, the triangular horizontal rail that forms the backbone of closeboard and feather edge fencing. Fixed between fence posts, arris rails carry the feather edge boards and give the whole run its strength and rigidity.

Cut to the traditional triangular (arris) profile, our rails fit neatly into morticed posts or fix to the post face with brackets, making installation straightforward whether you’re building from scratch or repairing an existing fence. The shape sheds water and keeps the boards firmly supported across the bay.

Available pressure-treated for long-term protection against rot, decay and insect attack, our arris rails stand up to exposed outdoor use in all UK weather. Most closeboard fences use two or three rails per bay depending on height, and they pair directly with our feather edge boards, cant rails and gravel boards for a complete closeboard fencing system.
